I wanted to encourage those of you who have heard from God regarding the call on your life, but have not seen the manifestation of that calling. Sometimes you have wondered if you have even heard God at all. I want to assure you -- you have! However, God has an appointed time and season for every event in our lives. (Hab 2:3) It was 12 years between the time the call to Nigeria came to me and when I actually traveled there. Twelve long years! However, the vision surely came when the appointed time arrived. Against financial obstacles, against our country at war, against terrorism world-wide! God prevailed in all circumstances and performed that which He said He would do.
Be encouraged today as you seek His face for His perfect will for your life. God has many good things in store for those who are faithful to him! (1 Cor 2:9). Remember, the Word of God declares "He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him." (Heb. 6:11).
We know that Jesus came as God's true Light to this earth. (John 1:4-9). However, that impartation of Light to us who "received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. (John 1:12-13) Then Jesus declared in Matthew 5:14 that "Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid." And that we should take that light to all creation as a witness for Him. Be encouraged today that as Jesus was sent into this world, so are you sent forth to bear His light! Seek God about your personal calling and be obedient to His word (2 Pet. 1:10-11), knowing that He who began a good work in you is faithful to complete it! (Phil 1:6). Hold fast in the faith!
